  • How Do I Get Started?
You’re welcome to begin in whatever way feels right for you. If you'd like to talk things through first, I offer an optional 15-minute consultation call. It’s a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if it feels like a good fit. But if you already feel ready, you’re more than welcome to go ahead and book your first session. You can reach out to me through the contact form on the website, by email, or phone - whatever feels easiest. I’ll guide you through the next steps from there.
  • How Can Therapy Help Me?
Therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply and begin to shift the patterns that feel hard to change. It’s a space to feel seen and supported, especially when life feels heavy or unclear. Whether you’re facing anxiety, self-criticism, trauma, or just feeling stuck, therapy can offer clarity and a way forward.
  • How Do I Know If Therapy At Origin Is Right For Me?
Therapy is a very personal choice. If my words, approach, or energy resonate with you, that’s a good sign we might work well together. If you’d like to chat first, I offer a free, optional 15-minute consultation - just a space to connect and ask any questions. If you'd rather begin straight away, that’s totally okay too. The first session is a great opportunity to get a feel for how we might work together and decide if we want to continue.
  • What Do Different Therapy Types Mean?
There are lots of therapy styles (psychodynamic, CBT, humanistic, compassion-focused) and it can feel a bit overwhelming trying to make sense of them all. I work integratively, which means I blend different approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. I’ll guide you through it and shape the work around what you need. If you’re curious to learn more about the different approaches I use, you can head to the How I Work section to explore them in more detail.
  • Do You Work With... (specific identity / issue)?
Yes. My approach is inclusive and affirming. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. I’ve worked in the NHS, local authority services, and community settings, supporting people through a range of experiences including trauma, addiction, domestic violence, sexual abuse, disordered eating, and identity-related struggles. Whatever you’re navigating, you're welcome here.
  • What About Payments?
Sessions are £65. Payment can be made by bank transfer or card, and I’ll send you all the details once you’re booked in. I ask that payment is made on or before the day of your session.
  • How Long Are Sessions?
Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes.
  • How Many Sessions Will I Need?
There’s no set number, everyone’s journey is different. Some people come to therapy with something specific to work through over a few months, while others choose longer-term work to support deeper healing and personal growth. We’ll move at your pace and check in regularly.
  • Can I Come To Therapy Even If I’m Not Sure What’s Wrong?
Absolutely. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start therapy. You might just feel 'off,' overwhelmed, or disconnected. That’s enough. Therapy can be a space to make sense of what you’re feeling and start putting the pieces together.
  • What If I Need To Cancel A Session?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made after this time may be subject to the full session fee.
  • How Do Online Sessions Work?
Online therapy works much like in-person sessions, just from the comfort of your own space. You’ll need a quiet, private place, a stable internet connection, and a device with video and audio. We’ll connect at your scheduled time, and from there, it’s talking things through, getting curious, and seeing what comes up together.
  • What Online Platforms Do You Use?
All sessions are held online, usually via Zoom, it’s secure, confidential, and simple to use. You’ll receive a private link before each session, and there’s nothing you need to download or set up in advance. If you’d prefer, phone sessions are also available, just let me know what feels most comfortable for you.
  • What If I Am In Crisis?
If you're in immediate distress or feeling unsafe, it's important to get the right support straight away. While I offer ongoing therapeutic support, I’m not able to provide emergency care. Please reach out to emergency services, your GP, or a 24/7 helpline like Samaritans (116 123 in the UK), there’s always someone available to listen.
  • What Time Are Your Appointments?
I offer daytime and evening appointments during the week. Availability can vary, so feel free to get in touch to see what works for both of us.
  • Are Sessions Confidential?
Yes. Therapy is a confidential space. What you share stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (for example, if there's a serious risk of harm to yourself or others). We’ll talk through all of this in your first session so you feel clear and safe.
