How I Work

Here’s how I approach therapy, what you can expect from sessions, and how I strive to create a space that’s safe, supportive, and authentic.

My Approach To Therapy

I take an integrative approach, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models, including psychodynamic, person-centered and compassion-focused therapies, depending on what you need. We’ll go at your pace and shape the work together.

My practice is always trauma-aware. I hold the impact of your past in mind while focusing on what’s happening for you now. Helping you move from coping to understanding, from survival to connection.

Some weeks, that might mean gently unpacking trauma or exploring long-held emotional patterns. Other times, we might focus more practically: finding ways to ground yourself, set boundaries, or build a life that feels more aligned in the present.

Types of Therapy

These approaches aren’t rigid frameworks, but flexible guides. They are tools we can use to shape a space that fits your needs.

Below is a brief overview of some of the models I work with to offer some context if you're curious about how therapy can look.

Not sure which approach is right for you?

Every person's journey is unique. During our free consultation, we'll discuss your specific needs and determine the best therapeutic approach for your healing journey.

Trauma Work

I work with trauma, the kind that shapes how we see ourselves, how we show up in relationships, and how safe we feel in the world.

Whether it stems from childhood, relationships, or life events, we’ll gently explore how it’s living in your present.

Trauma can show up in many ways

It doesn’t always come with a clear story. It might look like anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, low mood, or a sense of disconnection.

If something feels stuck, heavy, or hard to name - we can start there.

Who I Work With

Everyone Is Welcome

You don’t need to see yourself in a description to be welcome here.

I work with people from all walks of life, navigating a wide range of concerns, from low mood to relationship difficulties, identity questions to anxiety.

A Space to Reflect

Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or a space to simply breathe and be, therapy can be
a starting point to begin to move forward.

1

Reaching Out

You can get in touch through my website contact form, by email, or by phone. From there, we can arrange either a free 15-minute consultation or go ahead and book your first session — whatever feels right for you.

2

Consultation

The consultation is a short, no-pressure call to help you get a sense of how I work. You’re welcome to ask questions, share what’s bringing you to therapy, and decide whether it feels like a good fit. There’s no expectation to share anything too personal, it’s just a gentle first step.

3

Booking Your First Session

Once we've been in touch, I’ll send over some practical info, including a short intake form, a contract, and details on how sessions work. This helps us get started smoothly.

4

The First Session

In our first session, we’ll begin to get to know each other. You don’t need to have a perfect explanation or goal, this is a space to talk about what’s been going on, what’s brought you here, and how we might work together. I’ll go at your pace, and we’ll keep things feeling steady and safe.

5

Ongoing Therapy

We’ll meet weekly and there’s no set number of sessions, some people come for a short while, others choose longer-term support. We’ll go at your pace, shaping the work together as it unfolds.
